Horseback Riding in the Valdichiana
Horse & Wine Experience begins with a guided trek of about two hours along scenic trails and through the woods of Civitella in Val di Chiana. The route is also designed for those without much riding experience: qualified guides and gentle horses accompany the group, adapting the pace to the abilities of the participants. During the summer, when conditions allow, the ride may take place at sunset and offer particularly atmospheric light over the landscape. To take part, participants must be at least fourteen years old, wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes, and respect the indicative weight limit of 85–90 kilograms. Safety comes first, because only in this way can the relationship with the horse be enjoyed with peace of mind.
From the Trails to the Vineyards of Cortona
After the walk, the program moves on to the Cortona vineyards for a guided visit and a tasting of four selected wines. The narrative introduces the characteristics of the territory, the production techniques, and the differences between the labels offered, which may include Nobile di Montepulciano, Chianti, and other local productions. A board of cheeses and cured meats from organic producers accompanies the tastings and makes the moment more complete. The transition from horse to wine is not accidental: both activities require attention, listening, and respect for natural rhythms. The private transfer connects the stops and facilitates the flow of the day.
