In Foiano della Chiana, the Carnival does not belong only to winter. The June 13, 2026 floats, masks, music and lights return to the historic centre for the Summer Carnival, an evening of celebration that brings to the warm season a tradition deeply tied to the identity of the town.
Foiano preserves a carnival history five centuries long. Here the floats are not mere stage sets: they tell of months of work, creativity, craftsmanship, rivalry between workshops and a sense of belonging that involves generations.
The tradition changes season
The summer version keeps the energy of the Carnival and brings it outdoors, in a night of colours, music and gathering. Floats and masks move through the town while the historic centre becomes the setting for a great collective celebration.
