From 23 to 26 July 2026, Castiglion Fiorentino turns into a city of cinema. The Castiglioni Film Festival offers four days of screenings, guests, talks, short films and meetings between authors, professionals and the public.
Every evening, starting at 9:15 PM, the Cassero hosts a free screening of a film from the Italian or international scene. After the screening, the discussion continues with a talk also open to questions from the audience.
The evening screenings at the Cassero
- 23 July: "Le bambine" with Valentina Bertani.
- 24 July: "Le città di pianura" with Sergio Romano, Marta Donzelli and Gregorio Paonessa.
- 25 July: "Fuori" with Mario Martone, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
- July 26: "Il mago del Cremlino" with Olivier Assayas.
The International Short Film Competition
In the afternoon, the Teatro Cinema Mario Spina hosts the International Short Film Competition. 484 works have arrived from over 56 countries; the awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, July 26.
Talks, masterclasses, networking, DJ sets and meeting moments complete the program at the Logge di Piazza del Municipio and the Arena del Cassero. The festival thus connects cinema with the spaces of Castiglion Fiorentino, alternating screenings, training and dialogue.
