For three days Cortona becomes a city to explore by following drawn pages, costumes, video games, music and encounters. Cortona Comics 2026 returns from June 5 to 7 with a programme spread across the historic center and an audience made up of enthusiasts, families, collectors, gamers and curious visitors.
The heart of the festival will be the Chiostro di Sant’Agostino, where the Artist Alley will bring together more than thirty Italian authors. It will be possible to meet them in person, commission work, take part in masterclasses, attend discussion moments and discover the work behind an illustrated story.
Exhibitions, authors and pop culture
Among the announced events is the exhibition “PK - Dietro la maschera”, dedicated to thirty years of PKNA. The festival will also make room for self-published works, comics schools, workshops and opportunities to meet artists and professionals.
Palazzo Ferretti will host the Star Wars Experience, with laser swords, armor, Lego, Padawan lessons and flash mobs. On Sunday 7 June, Piazza Signorelli will instead be the hub for the cosplay contest.
Gaming, eSports and music
The gaming area will offer tournaments, eSports, retrogaming and activities designed for different ages. On the evening of 5 June, the programme will expand to the Stadio Santi Tiezzi with the concert by Tony Pitony.
The result is a festival that does not stay confined to a single space: comics and pop culture spill into the streets, squares and historic places of Cortona, changing the way the city is experienced for three days.
