The Foiano Book Festival, conceived in 2019 by the Culture Department of Foiano della Chiana, represents a point of reference in the local and national cultural landscape.
The Municipality of Foiano has always promoted the culture of books and reading, actively participating in important national projects. The Festival was born in a context already prepared for an event of this kind, quickly gaining a prominent position among the main national events in the sector. With hundreds of participants at each event, media attention, and the support of the most important Italian publishing houses, the Festival has gained wide popularity.
The program of the Festival offers a variety of events, including book presentations, meetings with authors, debates, interviews, concerts, performances and exhibitions, all centered on the main protagonist: the book. During the event, nationally renowned authors alternate with local and emerging writers, ranging from fiction to non-fiction, from social commitment to art in all its forms.
Organized by the Municipality of Foiano della Chiana with the patronage of the Tuscany Region, and in collaboration with Officine della Cultura, the Foiano Book Festival promises an engaging and stimulating cultural experience for all lovers of reading and knowledge.
