In Valdichiana, people are pedaling again the way they used to. From June 12 to 14, 2026 Marciano della Chiana hosts the twelfth edition of the Chianina Ciclostorica, an event dedicated to vintage racing bicycles, historic cycling apparel and the pleasure of traveling the territory without haste.
The event brings enthusiasts of heroic cycling back to the least known roads and trails of the Valdichiana Aretina. The journey matters as much as the destination: you pedal through the landscape, among villages, countryside and routes that allow you to observe the territory from a slow and authentic perspective.
Three days beyond the bicycle
The Chianina is not just a race or a rally. Around the rides a three-day festival takes shape, with local flavors, exhibitions, music, culture and markets. Enthusiasts from all over Italy are expected in Marciano, united by their passion for historic bicycles and for an idea of cycling made of memory, style and sharing.
Vintage clothing and historic machines recreate the atmosphere of another era, but the value of the event is contemporary: slowing down, meeting people and rediscovering roads that often remain off the most traveled routes.

The starting point is Marciano della Chiana, in the heart of Tuscany. From here the event opens onto the landscapes and villages of the valley, turning the weekend into an opportunity to discover the territory through cycling, food and village life.
